Encounter defines a 2.9Mt copper resource at Yeneena

Encounter Resources (ASX:ENR) defined its first copper resource at the Yeneena Project in Western Australia, announcing an initial inferred estimate of 2.9Mt at 0.8% copper. This initial estimate for the Tyrell Prospect includes a high-grade zone of 1.1Mt at 1.3% copper, located within the larger +8km Parbo copper mineral system. "With the project back under 100% Encounter control, we have reassessed the system with new datasets," said Executive Chairman Will Robinson in a statement on the findings. The company identified multiple high-quality targets outside of the Tyrell prospect, noting prior intersections that include 15m at 1.0% copper and 5.3m at 2.5% copper. Encounter said it plans follow-up drilling of the Parbo copper system's high-grade zones in 2026, while RC drilling at the nearby Haddon prospect will begin in October 2025.
