Encounter Resources defines 2.9Mt copper resource at Yeneena.

Encounter Resources (ASX:ENR) has defined its first copper resource at the Yeneena Project, announcing an initial inferred estimate of 2.9Mt at 0.8% copper. The estimate includes a coherent high-grade zone of 1.1Mt at 1.3% copper, derived from shallow mineralisation with significant potential for growth within the broader Parbo system. "With the project back under 100% Encounter control, we have reassessed the system with new datasets," said Executive Chairman Will Robinson in a statement. The company is now prioritising multiple high-quality targets within the +8km Parbo copper system, which demonstrated notable intersections including 15m at 1.0% copper. Encounter Resources said follow-up drilling of high-grade zones within the Parbo system is planned for 2026, while RC drilling at the Haddon prospect will begin shortly.
